A very fine tribute to Freddie Mercury and Queen with no wigs, no make-up and definitely no false moustaches. Rock FM called them 'the greatest tribute band in the world'. 'Stunning' (Official Queen Fan Club). 'Superb' (Brian May).

Friday 23rd July 2010 - Saturday 24th July 2010 Part of the Art and Drama Theatre Weekend hosted by the Gambolling Arena Theatre Company. Blue Remembered Hills revolves around a summer’s afternoon in wartime Gloucestershire, and follows seven children as they play in the Forest of Dean. The central twist being that instead of using child-actors, Potter stipulated that all the children should be played by adults. To set the mood for this production we usually start the show with a short set from our Andrews Sisters esque vocal group The Harmony Belles who sing songs from the period. Time: 8:30pm Venue: Wyre Estuary Country Park, Stanah, Thornton Cleveleys Cost: £10, Concessions £7.50 Age: Families and children age 5-15 years Further Information: Charlie Pass 01253 863100

The new monthly blues night in the Wyre Bar. In an era when guitar heroes have made a strong comeback, Jay Tamkin isn't about to make his pitch solely as a guitarist. Rather it's his rich musical persona that marks his out as unique. For while his restless imagination may push him into variety of styles via some fiery notes and melodic grooves, JT is treading his own path. Indeed as his album title suggests he's just about 'Sorted'. Door Price: £2.50 Time: 9.00pm
