True Crime Talk Featuring Live Psychopath Test Comes to Fleetwood
Did you know that 90% of people believe they can get away with murder - are you one of them? There will be a live psychopath test to find out! Serial killer and psychopathy expert Cheish Merryweather introduces MURDER:STAGED - a true crime talk.
A chilling and immersive true crime experience is heading to Fleetwood this summer, asking audiences one unsettling question: Do you think you could get away with murder?
Acclaimed serial killer and psychopathy expert Cheish Merryweather, known for appearances on the BBC, brings her brand‑new live tour Murder: Staged to Marine Hall, Fleetwood, on Friday 5 June at 7.30pm.
Murder: Staged explores the disturbing phenomenon of staged murders, crimes deliberately manipulated to mislead police investigations. Drawing on real cases, forensic science and offender psychology, the talk examines how modern killers attempt to disguise the truth behind carefully constructed crime scenes.
Cheish Merryweather said:
“The ‘CSI effect’ has created a new type of killer — one that is forensically aware and actively trying to mislead an investigation. Murder: Staged will explore the lies embedded in the crime scene through detailed crime scene walkthroughs.”
A highlight of the show is the live psychopath test, with audiences also taking part in personality quizzes designed to measure psychopathic traits within the room, producing a collective score unique to each location.
“The live psychopath test is a great way to find out who we really should be keeping a close eye on,” Cheish added. “Every audience creates their city’s score — so whether Fleetwood turns out to be the most psychopathic remains to be seen.”
Councillor Lynne Bowen Leisure, Health & Community Engagement Portfolio Holder at Wyre Council welcomed the show to Marine Hall, highlighting the importance of varied programming at the venue:
“We’re really pleased to be bringing such a different and thought‑provoking event to Marine Hall. Offering a wide range of shows, from live music and comedy to talks like this, is vital in keeping our venue vibrant and appealing to a broad audience, and Murder: Staged is a great example of this.”
The event features in‑depth forensic analysis, reconstructed real‑life crime scene walkthroughs, and a deep dive into some of the most shocking true crime cases. Informative, provocative and immersive, Murder: Staged promises an unmissable evening for true crime fans.
